Cratissa Hammond

Dr. Cratissa Hammond is a licensed clinical psychologist in Delaware. She obtained her B.A in psychology from Millersville University in Lancaster, PA. She remained at Millersville University for graduate school and also studied Marriage and Family Therapy at Shippensburg University in Shippensburg, PA. Dr. Hammond later obtained her doctorate of psychology from Chestnut Hill College, an APA accredited program, where her dissertation focused on the psychological transition to natural hair in young adult African American women. She completed her APA accredited pre-doctoral internship at the Center for Counseling and Testing at Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA. She completed her post-doctoral fellowship at the Residential Treatment Center at James T. Vaughn Correctional Institution in Smyrna, DE, working with patients with severe and persistent mental illness. She later went on to become the Clinical Supervisor at Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution in New Castle, DE, before transitioning to private practice.

Dr. Hammond has diverse clinical experience doing individual therapy, group therapy, and psychological assessment in a variety of mental health settings. Dr. Hammond has practiced in several university counseling centers, community mental health clinics, and forensic sites. She has worked with adults, adolescents, couples, and families, treating those struggling with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, grief, trauma, personality disorders, life transitions, and relational concerns.
