Indeya completed her undergraduate studies at Hampton University in Psychology with a minor in Spanish. She has always had a passion for the mental health field and continued to purse her dreams by obtaining her Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health counseling from Wilmington University.
Indeya has gained her 8 year experience in the mental health field while working in difficult environments such as crisis, Rockford Center Psychiatric hospital, Connections Community Mental Health agency and traveling in the community assessing clients and providing therapy. She works with adolescent girls, adults , couples, and families through a variety of issues that include PTSD, drug and alcohol, effective communication, depression, and anxiety. Indeya specializes in building communication skills and building good rapport with clients. Her therapeutic philosophy is to create a safe and secure environment for clients to feel comfortable enough to share their personal thoughts , experiences , and beliefs. Indeya believes it is a great honor to be able to guide someone into making the best decisions for their life. One of her favorite philosophies is the infamous quote “to give a man a fish feeds him for one night—but to teach a man to fish feeds him for a lifetime. “ Her therapeutic techniques include solution focused therapy, CBT, client centered therapy, and mindfulness techniques.
