Jamie DiOrio, MA
Jamie DiOrio is working in the capacity of doctoral psychology intern at Mid-Atlantic Behavioral Health under the supervision of Dr. Kathleen Cherry and Dr. Katie Pierce. Jamie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from The College of New Jersey, and she earned her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from Immaculata University. She is currently completing her pre-doctoral internship, which represents the final year towards completion of her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Immaculata University.
Jamie has diverse outpatient clinical experience conducting therapy and assessment with children, adolescents, adults, and families. She has experience practicing in a variety of mental health settings including a private practice, a community mental health clinic, an inpatient hospital, as well as a treatment facility for substance use and co-occurring disorders. Jamie has experience providing both individual and group psychotherapy. Jamie’s specialties include general mental health, depression, anxiety/panic, trauma, PTSD, dissociation, substance use, and co-occurring disorders.
Jamie tailors her therapeutic approach to the individual needs of each patient. She takes an integrated approach to therapy by incorporating psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and acceptance/mindfulness-based techniques. Overall, Jamie strives to uphold evidence-based practice while conducting herself as a professional, empathic, and flexible practitioner.
