Patrick Zingaro, PsyD
Patrick Zingaro is working as a post-master’s therapist under the supervision of Dr. Bolander. Patrick received his bachelor’s in psychology from Wilmington University, and a master’s degree in clinical psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology in Northern Virginia.
Patrick completed his doctoral internship at the Oklahoma Forensic Center in Vinita, Oklahoma. He has experience in individual and group therapy settings with children, adolescents, and adults treating a wide array of disorders including depression, anxiety, substance abuse, trauma, personality disorders, and psychosis. Patrick is completing his doctoral dissertation clinical research project and working towards licensure in Delaware.
Currently, Patrick sees patients of all ages. His specialties include treating issues related to general mental health, depression and mood, anxiety, family issues, substance abuse, personality disorders, and psychotic disorders. Patrick takes an integrated approach to treatment primarily utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, existential and interpersonal methods. Patrick’s therapeutic philosophy is tailored to the individual needs of his clients and is sensitive to an individual’s ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religious/spiritual beliefs as well as other cultural factors.
